K.S. AVARD

Kurt Sturdy Avard is a writer and educator who is as sturdy in his writing as he is stern at the lectern. Following a misspent youth scouring the planet for answers (receiving only echoes - and occasional yodels) and the obligatory sojourn into the corporate world, Kurt escaped to teach. He has taught scurrilous Junior High and College students for over 10 years, dragging them across the finish line by the hair he does not himself possess where necessary. He holds a Master of Arts in International Relations, and for kicks and giggles has authored three novels and an anthology (with another five lingering forlornly on his hard drive). Kurt does not rely on Artificial Intelligence for his writing, or his thinking. At all.

Kurt Sturdy Avard lives in New Jersey with his loving wife, who has the patience of a saint, and his beloved children, who have taught him to lengthen his fuse exponentially (to the considerable relief of his students). He publishes his next novel, Dead Noir, on 11.02.2026.
